You

  • You are experienced in driving product strategy and owning the software product roadmap
  • You know how to make educated prioritization decisions
  • You are in love with technology and figuring out how things work
  • You can explain complex technical concepts simply, to both technical and non-technical people
  • You know what designers, engineers, QA, marketing, support, and various business stakeholders expect from a product person – and can therefore effectively work with these people
  • You are a strong communicator, meaning that your emails are structured, slide decks are clean and persuasive, and your speech is smooth (and all of that in English)

A bit more on qualifications:

  • You have managed custom-built software products (web, mobile, API, IoT, etc.)
  • You know modern software engineering processes and have worked in an Agile environment
  • You have a good command of English: think IELTS band 7 or higher

Responsibilities

  1. Strategy
    1. proactively work with the customers to understand their needs
    2. apply your brainpower to decide what to build and what not to build
    3. create and update a product roadmap, and lead strategic prioritization sessions
    4. come up with business success metrics/KPIs for new features
  2. Execution
    1. do the research needed to make high-quality decisions (user interviews, data, competitors, etc.)
    2. collect user feedback and use it to make your product better
    3. create clear product requirements and user stories
    4. work closely with designers on the best UX/UI for end-users
    5. collaborate with engineers to come up with reliable technical solutions
    6. answer team questions related to the product
  3. Leadership
    1. make sure that our team and customer stakeholders are on the same page when it comes to product vision, goals, strategic/tactical priorities, and quality
