With industry-leading statistical modeling and machine learning, Clarify Health harnesses the power of the most comprehensive longitudinal dataset in the US by linking clinical, claims, prescription, lab and social determinants of health data across over 300 million lives.

The idea
Clarify Health is a CMS Qualified Entity (QE). As a QE, Clarify uses Medicare data to produce and publicly disseminate CMS-approved reports on provider performance. Clarify also creates non-public analyses (NPAs) based on these data, which the company makes available to authorized users. Clarify wanted to implement a process that allowed providers identified in an NPA, to view their information and correct errors by filing appeals, according to QE regulations. To complete the project within the necessary timeframe, Clarify turned to Star for help.
Project
Clarify wanted to boost clinician engagement by enabling users to visualize and analyze key data generated by its platform. Clarify partnered with Star to ideate, design and develop an automated workflow. This would help physicians navigate the entire review and response process, enabling them to fill in all information accurately the first time.
We began with a workflow analysis to identify friction points and see where the solution could be optimized. From here, after engaging with user stakeholders, we moved quickly to design and engineer a user-centric solution that helps physicians monitor key performance metrics related to their practice, optimize clinical workflows and improve patient care.
