Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for you! 

We’re looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the ranks of our Planning & Optimization product org. 

As a machine learning engineer, you are a seasoned software engineer with experience in machine learning. You will focus on designing, implementing and productionizing state-of-the-art optimization and planning algorithms, such as our budget allocation framework for digital marketing campaigns.

You are an experienced machine learning practitioner and Python programmer and have put models into production environments before.

You will be joining our Model Infrastructure team, working on automating our Marketing Mix Modelling and attribution models used throughout the planning & optimization processes at our Agencies.

Skills and experience you can bring to this role! 

Qualifications & experience:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and productionizing machine learning models and AI applications;
  • Fluent in Python and a strong interest in general software engineering principles;
  • Working knowledge of common Python frameworks (Numpy, Pandas, etc.) - experience with deep learning frameworks like Tensorflow or PyTorch is a plus;
  • Strong mathematical foundation and know your way around Bayesian statistics - knowledge of econometrics models (such as MMM) is a plus, but not required);
  • Understanding of data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes - experience with frameworks such as Dagster, Airflow, or Spark is a plus;
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions; and
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace new technologies and challenges in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes);
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment;
  • Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT processes;
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance principles and best practices;
  • Solid understanding of system design principles, scalability, and performance optimization;
  • At least a basic grasp of probabilistic ML - experience with Pyro is a big plus.

What impact you will make

  • Implement, test and roll out state-of-the-art automated marketing mix models, using Python as your go-to language and your platform-as-a-service environment is AWS;
  • Lead the development of a new Bayesian machine learning library designed for automating MMMs;
  • Work with our data scientists and engineers to integrate the result into our existing product stack;
  • Be or become a go-to person when it comes to applying state-of-the-art machine learning to the field of optimization and planning;
  • Think about budget allocation, campaign optimization, and optimizing ad copy for revenue;
  • Help define and defend the roadmap for model automation.
