We are looking for a talented Junior React Engineer to join our team and become a key contributor to a new strategic initiative within the CMRE Mission Engineering framework.
In this role, you will lead the front-end development of a responsive, web-based real-time data analytics dashboard designed to support mission-critical decision-making. Your primary focus will be on building highly interactive user interfaces, ensuring seamless user experience, and delivering high-performance visualization capabilities for complex real-time data streams.
The platform will serve as the Mission Engineering decision support layer, enabling military commanders to monitor mission performance indicators, receive alerts, and make informed operational decisions in real time. Working from pre-defined analytical models and dashboard concepts, you will transform complex data outputs into intuitive and dynamic interfaces with strong emphasis on usability, layout, responsiveness, and interface fidelity.
This role requires hands-on expertise in architecting front-end solutions capable of handling continuous low-latency data updates, efficient state management, and scalable client-side performance optimization.
The core data processing, analytical modeling, and insight generation will be handled by the broader Mission Engineering team, allowing you to focus primarily on front-end architecture, visualization, and real-time interaction design.
Skills and experience you can bring to this role!
Qualifications & experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Front-End Engineer;
- Proficiency in JavaScript programming and React.js framework;
- Proficiency in React Hooks, Redux-toolkit, Persist;
- Experience with Typescript/Axios/React Query/Material-UI;
- Familiarity with React Testing Library/Jest/Storybook is a plus;
- Understanding of app and browser performance;
- Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English;
- Understanding of CI concepts;
- People-oriented and a team player;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers; and
- Familiarity with node.js or any other back-end language is a plus.
