Lead Service Designer (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for you!

We’re looking for a Lead Service Designer with broad Healthtech/ Medtech and Energy domain background experience who can design simple yet highly engaging experiences and services. Your design strategy should push the limits of innovation and put the user in focus. Based in our cozy Copenhagen design studio, you will join the organically growing team of designers who work across physical and digital products and services. Your global team of colleagues includes software and hardware technologists — together, you will be tasked with creating industry-defining products.

Skills and experience you can bring to this role!

Qualifications & experience:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of Service Design, Design Thinking, or another relevant program;
  • 4-8 years of professional experience working in cross-disciplinary teams and guiding small teams of junior team members;
  • An intrinsic motivation to challenge the status quo;
  • The ability to think analytically and cross-pollinate ideas to novel experiences;
  • A passion for human-centered design as a means to problem-solving;
  • A profound understanding of the possibilities provided by digital technology;
  • Knowledge of highly complex solutions and environments;
  • The ability to crunch complex information and being able to visually communicate it to management level among other stakeholders;
  • Visual simplexity and the ability to translate information flows and patterns into a visual model or landscape;
  • The ability to joggle with a wide range of (service/) design methodologies
  • Visual communication through storytelling;
  • A design toolbox of skills within Adobe, Figma, PowerPoint and Marker;
  • Empathy for the people you work with and the people you design for;
  • The ability to express an optimistic spirit - because, above all, we need your smile and personality;
  • Fluent Danish and English skills.

Added advantage:

  • Experience working in some of our key business and technology domains: Healthtech, Energy, Automotive & Mobility, FinTech or Adtech and Martech;

What impact you’ll make

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and complexity of any given challenge;
  • Collaborate proactively to achieve a joint effort; 
  • Act as an integral part of a cross-functional team;
  • Communicate professionally and effectively in English and Danish;
  • Contribute to sales processes and client networking; 
  • Scope and manage projects and maintain and expand the client relationship; 
  • Manage project budgets and deadlines to remain on time and on target ;
  • Facilitate engaging co-creative workshops (virtually or in-person) with clients and team members to build a consensus and enable the next steps;
  • Lead 1-2 design projects simultaneously, overseeing team efforts to ensure projects are delivered to clients’ expectations;
  • Master the full design process, including user research, experience strategy and ideation, prototyping, validation and implementation;
  • Share your knowledge of design methods, tools and trends with the rest of the team;
  • Engage in the local design community, spread awareness and build a network;
  • Be an influencer and share your knowledge and thoughts externally.
