We are looking for you!
We are looking for a skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer to define, implement, and continuously improve quality engineering practices across our products and services. You will be responsible for building confidence in the product across the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, and production operation. You will work closely with developers, architects, DevSecOps engineers, data engineers, security engineers, and project management to ensure that products and services remain reliable, secure, performant, and fit for purpose. You are expected to identify quality risks early, communicate them clearly, and drive practical
improvements across tools, processes, and engineering practices.
Skills and experience you can bring to this role!
Qualifications & experience:
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance (mobile and web applications);
- Test architecture: Experience designing scalable test automation frameworks, reusable test components, and quality tooling for multi-team environments;
- Contract testing, test data management
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
- Cloud-native applications: Awareness of containers, Kubernetes, microservices, and distributed-system quality challenges;
- Observability tools: Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Grafana, or equivalent platforms;
- Secure delivery awareness: Working knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API security risks, authentication and authorization validation, and secure test design;
- Agile delivery: Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams, participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Quality leadership: Ability to influence engineering practices, promote standards, and improve quality culture across teams;
- Stakeholder communication: Comfortable communicating quality risks, trade-offs, and recommendations to management and non-technical stakeholders.
What impact you’ll make
- Quality Strategy & Test Governance
- Quality strategy: Defining and maintaining quality strategies, test plans, release-readiness criteria, and quality gates for web applications, APIs, Azure services, and Databricks-based workflows;
- Risk-based testing: Identifying critical business and technical risks, prioritizing validation effort, and ensuring high-impact workflows receive appropriate coverage;
- Test governance: Establishing traceability from requirements to test coverage, defect trends, and release decisions;
- Quality advocacy: Promoting preventive quality practices across the engineering organization without blocking delivery
- Test Automation & Engineering
- UI automation: Designing and maintaining automated tests for browser-based applications and critical end-to-end user journeys using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent;
- API automation: Building automated validation for REST APIs, service contracts, authentication flows, and integration points;
- Integration testing: Verifying interactions across frontend, backend, cloud services, and external dependencies;
- Regression strategy: Maintaining stable and effective regression suites, reducing flaky tests, and improving feedback speed in delivery pipelines;
- Web Application Quality
- Functional testing: Validating business workflows, navigation, role-based behavior, session handling, error handling, and cross-browser behavior;
- Cloud service validation: Testing applications and services deployed on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, storage, messaging, identity integrations, and monitoring flows;
- Non-Functional Testing: Performance, Resilience, Reliability, Security
- CI/CD & Release Assurance
- Pipeline integration: Embedding automated quality checks into Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD platforms;
- Quality gates: Defining pass/fail criteria for builds, deployments, and environment promotions based on automated test outcomes and risk thresholds;
- Release confidence: Supporting go/no-go decisions with clear evidence on system quality, test coverage, defect risk, and operational readiness;
- Shift-left quality: Ensuring quality validation begins early in the lifecycle through requirement reviews, testability input, and early automation design;
- Collaboration & Communication
- Cross-functional collaboration: Working effectively with developers, architects, DevSecOps engineers, cloud engineers, data engineers, product owners, and project management;
- Mentoring: Supporting junior quality engineers and helping development teams improve testability and automation practices;
- Documentation: Producing high-quality test plans, quality assessments, defect reports, and release-readiness artifacts;
- English proficiency: Excellent written and spoken English in a professional/international context.
