We are looking for you!
We’re looking to invite talented Business Designers into our freelance talent network. This is not a full-time position — instead, once selected you become part of our vetted pool of freelancers, and we’ll reach out whenever relevant projects arise.
This role is specifically for strategists and designers who design the business around the product. You might have started your career in product or service design, but today, your focus is on market viability, commercial strategy, and business modeling. If you love translating user needs into profitable business models, framing value propositions, and figuring out how a new product or service will actually make money — we want you.
(Note: If you are looking for a pure UI, UX, or digital product delivery role, this is not the right fit)
Skills and experience you can bring to this role!
- 3+ years (Mid) or 6+ years (Senior) of professional experience in Business Design, Venture Architecture, or Strategic Design (often with a foundation in Service Design or Product Strategy).
- A strong portfolio or case studies demonstrating how you designed business models, mapped value propositions, or validated commercial viability for products and services.
- Design/business toolkit: Fluent in mapping user journeys and service ecosystems, while being also comfortable working with business model canvases, conducting market and viability assessments, market sizing, and pricing strategies (Seniors should be able to independently own the financial/commercial framing of a concept).
- Strategic ideation: Highly skilled in facilitating co-creation workshops, driving value proposition design, and translating complex user needs into business concepts. You understand service ecosystems, can co-create service blueprints, and know how to bridge the gap between user experience and business operations.
- Testing for viability: Experience applying a design-thinking mindset to business validation—designing rapid experiments, smoke tests, or landing page pilots to measure real customer willingness to adopt and pay.
- Translator&Collaborator: Ability to collaborate seamlessly with UX/UI designers, tech leads, and client executives, ensuring that creative product concepts are both desirable and profitable.
Bonus:
- Bonus (Domain Expertise): Experience designing digital products, services, or ventures within complex spaces like Health Tech / Digital Health or Automotive & Mobility, or experience utilizing AI-driven tools to accelerate market and competitor analysis.
What impact you’ll make
- You’ll ensure new product and service concepts are commercially viable — helping define the business models and value propositions for globally recognized brands so they succeed in the market.
- You’ll connect user experience with business goals, ensuring that design decisions are backed by clear market logic and that stakeholders understand the strategic value of the design team's work.
- On each project you’ll collaborate with Researchers, UX, and UI designers to integrate business thinking early into the process, helping turn initial ideas into practical, structured concepts.
- As part of the network, you’ll gain access to our internal sharing sessions — joining a community of passionate creators, strategists, and designers where you can learn from peers or mentor others.
- You will be exposed to a variety of briefs, industries, and formats — increasing your scope, sharpening your strategic skills, and expanding your professional toolkit.
