QA Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client is an innovative company that builds a software and payment solution for businesses of all types, from restaurants to retail businesses and the service industry.  The platform offers end-to-end digital solutions that makes running and growing a business very easy. In a nutshell, the list of services that the platform has includes but is not limited to advanced reporting systems, online appointment booking, loyalty program management, tools to collect customer information, track of customer reviews, creation of websites, companion mobile app, online ordering for restaurants, payroll processing and more.


Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of working experience in software quality assurance (with a focus on web applications)
  • Solid understanding of Testing Theory, SDLC
  • Understanding of SCRUM processes
  • Solid understanding of client-server architecture and artefacts (HTTP, AJAX, JSON)
  • Solid understanding of REST API concept 
  • Experience in working with database and an understanding of DB design
  • Experience with Linux/Unix-based systems
  • Understanding of version control systems (Git or Mercurial, etc.)
  • Understanding of CI concepts, experience planning test environments schemes
  • Experience with participating in delivery process improvement
  • Ability to create QA Documentation, such as test cases, test strategy, test plan

Nice to have:

  • Experience being a primary contact person for QA related matters is a plus
  • Experience developing API or UI test automation using Python or JavaScript
  • Computer science degree or similar
  • Upper-Intermediate level English or above


As a QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the quality of web products. Day to day work would include:

  • Setting up tests and QA procedures on a project, driving the product quality on a daily basis
  • Driving exploratory testing, authoring test plans and test cases for the product
  • Product requirement analysis and processing
  • Gathering QA/test metrics and reporting to QA Leads as well as the client
  • Being a part of the agile delivery team, working closely with development/design/product management to coordinate the effort
  • Taking part in continuous process improvement, giving process recommendations
  • Close client communication on a regular basis
